Fruition Milwaukee reviews
thousands of AC'd fans pounding the night away!
"Impressed, I was. The music progressed as if it was telling the history of his rise to fame, including tributes to Daft Punk with a live vocal performance by Sofi and Bill O'Reiley ['We'll do it live'] woven into his set-list, which reminded me of an old operetta narrating a coming of age tale. He played from around 10pm to exactly midnight, with the last half an hour showcasing his best work. Fruition returned to the stage, after a fake-out end of the show, as a 32 bit video game-like icon (resembling something made with a Lite-Brite) named "infinite mau5" (supposedly having achieved more than just a 1up), culminating with 'Ghosts n Stuff'. He left the stage as himself, even taking off his signature hat. The venue ran out of beer early, forced me to discard my cigarettes, lacked parking and seating, etc., but looking back, there's really no other place in Phoenix where so many people can dance in an Air-conditioned space."
